In 2017, ELLO was launched by a team of professionals with 18 years of experience serving the cannabis industry.  Collectively we have serviced over 600 cannabis clients in every niche of the industry and throughout the country.  Our vision is to help shape the cannabis industry in development and implementing operating best practices throughout the US and beyond while serving as an integral partner driving strategic value for our clients both domestically and abroad.

Director, Tax

The Tax Director is responsible for advising clients on the tax implications of their business objections, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues. In this role, the Tax Director is charged with applying knowledge to understand potential tax issues, and recognizing, communicating potential risks and potential changes in the tax policy and making top-level decisions regarding filing, preparation and resolution of questions from federal / state agencies. In addition, the Tax Senior Manager will be critical member of the office leadership team and actively participate in the marketing, networking and business development within an area of expertise and specialization while maintaining client relationships and acting as the primary contact for complex questions.

Senior Associate

Under limited supervision performs intermediate to advanced accounting functions related to tax specifications. Employees in this job class perform as a lead by assigning work and providing guidance to lower level associates. This job class requires knowledge of intermediate accounting and/or tax principals of which would be derived from several years of experience as an Experienced Associate and the ability to assign work, manage progress and meet deadlines. The Senior Associate is responsible for utilizing research skills, applying tax foundational knowledge to understand potential tax issues, gathering client information necessary for filing, participating in tax planning, recognizing and communicating potential risks, preparing tax accrual workpapers and working with tax software applications to complete tax returns for review.

Controller

Department: Client Accounting Services

Summary:
The primary responsibilities of this full-time position is to manage all business activities for assigned clients. Under the direction and supervision of the Senior Controller or the VP of Client Accounting Services, the Controller is responsible for providing direct oversight to all Assistant Controllers and Staff Accountants, including primary and offsite locations, to ensure all business activities and duties are adequately communicated, understood, and implemented. The Controller is the Primary Point of Contact (“POC”) for the client and will delegate responsibility to team members.
